Allen, Texas Bahá’ís

Deny me not, O my Lord, the fragrances of Thy raiment in Thy days, and deprive me not of the breathings of Thy Revelation at the appearance of the splendors of the light of Thy face.

The Bahá’í Faith

The Bahá'í Faith is the youngest of the world's independent religions. Its founder, Bahá'u'lláh (1817-1892), is regarded by Bahá'ís as the most recent in the line of Messengers of God that stretches back beyond recorded time. The previous Messengers of God include Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Christ, and Muhammad.

Fundamental Principles of the Bahá’í Faith

• There is only one God.

• All religions share a common foundation.

• Humanity is one. People of all races, nations, economic groups, and religious backgrounds are equal in

  the sight of God.

• Each individual is responsible for investigating truth independently.

• Science and religion are in harmony. Science without religion is materialism—religion without science is

  superstition.

• Women and men are equal, like the two wings of one bird.

• Every child is entitled to a sound, basic education.

• There is a spiritual solution to economic problems.

• The world needs an international auxiliary language.

• We must establish a universal peace protected by a world commonwealth.
