Bahá'í Community of the Isle of Wight
Activities and Coming Events
We hold regular Devotional Meetings and Study Circles on the Island. Anyone is warmly welcomed to these events, whether
Bahá'í or not. We also offer children's classes and junior youth study when we are able to.
Devotional
Meetings are usually quiet, reflective occasions and consist of around 35-40
minutes of readings, music and meditation, providing a spiritually rewarding and
uplifting experience.
Study Circles offer shared learning about many themes related to the life of the spirit. In an informal, friendly atmosphere we explore subjects which affect us all in our quest to become better human beings. Everyone's views are respected: there are no 'teachers' and 'students'; rather everyone has the attitude of a learner. Many who are not declared Bahá'ís attend Study Circles and find them of great value. Book 1 covers such subjects as 'Life and Death' and 'Prayer and Meditation'.
