Shining Lamp Baha’i Camp 2008DirectionsEast Twin Sisters LakeThese directions take you north from Marmora, a small town located on Highway #7, about two hours west of Ottawa, and one hour east of Peterborough. Set your odometer to zero when you reach Marmora. At the 4 corners in Marmora (where the stoplight is) go north. Turn left at Madoc Street, the first left turn, then immediately turn right onto Main Street. Go north on Main Street, which later turns into Cordova Road. You will see the Crowe River on your left as you leave Marmora. Continue on Cordova Road for 6.5 km from Marmora. You will pass Beaver Creek Road on your right and then you will come to a big curve off to the north west. Turn right onto North Marmora Road, about half way through the curve. After turning onto N. Marmora Road, set your odometer to zero again. This is a dirt road with bumps and curves. At 3.3 km you will pass Clemenger Road on your left. Don’t turn. Continue straight (north). At 4.8 km. you will make a right angle turn to continue north. You will see Iron Bridge Road, but don’t go on it. Curve left. At this point the road becomes Twin Sisters Road. (You are going to Twin Sisters Lakes) At 5.9 km you will pass Crofts Road on your left but continue straight on Twin Sisters Road. At 6.7 km you will see Buttermilk L. Road on your right, but continue on Twin Sisters Road with a big curve to the left. After this point the road narrows and goes into deeper woods. At 7.5 km you will reach the culvert between the Twin Sisters Lakes. Go over, between the two lakes, and continue on the same road. Look for #1098 on your right hand side. This will be at 8.8 kms. Turn right onto this lane way and continue to the lot. The lot is about ½ km down this lane way. Near the end it divides into two lane ways. Stay to the left.
