Local Broadcasts

The Baha'is of Antelope Valley broadcast a 30 minutes program on Adelphia cable channel 36 every Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Following videos are currently being rotated:

  • The Power of Race Unity
    Shows Bahá'ís of different colors and ages working to bring about racial unity in the community they live in. Inspired by the vision the Bahá'í faith gives them, the video shows the interviewees engaged to open up dialogue on all levels in society, which includes children. They are shown using drama and music to pass on this message of hope, as well as communicating it in conference halls and classrooms.
  • The Family: The Seeds of World Peace
    Shows how three families apply the Bahá'í faith in their lives, and how it helps them to strengthen their bonds of marriage, to teach their children to serve the human race, and to reach out to the community - extending their circle of unity.
  • Power of Prayer
    The video profiles different families and individuals talking about how they use the power of prayer to help them in their daily lives. It shows the role prayer plays- as it is used from combating peer pressure and conflict resolution, to building a stronger marriage and character in their children.
  • Latinos and the Bahá'í Faith(English/Spanish)
    Bahá'ís of Latin decent share their perspective of their culture and the world, that is very much influenced by the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, which emphasizes unity in diversity. They talk about how the Bahá'í faith validates all cultures, and the video reveals how it's teaching of 'service to humanity' has molded their view of their role in the world.
  • We Are One
    The principles of the Bahá'í faith unfolds slowly as country singer Dan Seals discusses them with different individuals of all ages, in a Western setting. The concept of progressive revelation is introduced. Some of the other themes that are brought up are service, the need to have spiritual education for children, the equality of men and women, and the need to eradicate racism.
  • About Gender
    Explores the principle of the quality of men and women in the Bahá'í faith.
  • We Are Baha'i's
    Individuals talk about their experience as Baha'is and what the Faith means to them.
