We will remember you in our prayers, and encourage Baha'is from our city to consider how they could assist your community in the years ahead.
This year the 23 Baha'is in Bærum will be responsible for organising the Naw Ruz party for 'cluster 25', which consists of the cities of Oslo, Bærum and Asker. We are expecting more than 100 guests, including some professional entertainment. We will remember you on that particular day and mention that you will be celebrating your 50th anniversary on this day.

Dear friends Life is always very busy and there never seems to be enough time... but since receiving your email I have been remembering the days I spent in the Faroe Islands and the time I spend with Eskil Ljungberg - what a wonderful man he was!
I can remember him telling me how frightened he was to go to Haifa and to meet the Guardian because he loved him so much he thought that he would never want to leave him. He said "I promised the Guardian (Shoghi Effendi) that I would pioneer to the Faroe Islands and I intend to lay my bones here". Which, as we all know, he did. And what a welcome there must have been waiting for Eskil when he passed to the next world. I'm sure Shoghi Effendi was the first in line to put his arms around Eskil and give him a BIG hug.
I would really appreciate it if you would say a prayer for Eskil at his grave side on my behalf on the 22nd March. This picture on your web site it just how I remember Eskil. God bless him.

The first Bahá'í in the Faroe Islands
Eskil moved to the Faroe Islands in 1953 when he was 67 years old. He died in Tórshavn in 1985.

Í marsmánaði fer Bahá'í-samfelagið at byrja eitt ár við minningartiltøkum fyri at hátíðarhalda síni 50 ár í Føroyum. Hetta árið er ognað minninum um Eskil Ljungberg ( 1886 - 1985 ), tí fyrsta Bahá'íanum í Føroyum. Ein framsýning, ið ber heitið "Heilsanir og Lukkuynskjanir frá Ymsastaðni í Heiminum", ið er opin fyri øllum, verður partur av einari móttøku leygardagin tann 22. Mars kl. 15:00 á Bahá'í-Miðstøðini í Gundadali. Vístur fram verður ein hópur av postkortum og boðskrivum, ið eru send úr øllum heiminum til Bahá'íarnar í Føroyum við hetta høvið. Framsýningin fer eisini at vera opin hvønn tísdag ( kl. 20:00 - 21:00 ) og sunnudag ( kl. 14:00 - 16:00 ) til og við tann 15. Apríl. Tiltøk ígjøgnum árið fara at fevna um ymiskar framsýningar og útgávuna av einum bóklingi um lívið hjá Eskil Ljungberg.
