Dear Nahid,
You asked:
page 33: ...divine Luminaries..... influence, cause the trees of divine unity the fruits of His oneness, the leaves of detachment, the blossoms of knowledge and certitude, ....... to exist and be made manifest.
"trees"
is that refers to each religion? & "fruits" their followers or
believers? May you please explain those sentences?
Here
is what I understand:
The
passage says: "Even as the visible sun that assisteth...in the development
of all earthly things, such as the trees, the fruits, and colours thereof, the
minerals of the earth, and all that may be witnessed in the world of creation,
so do the divine Luminaries, by their loving care and educative influence,
cause the trees of divine unity, the fruits of His oneness, the leaves of
detachment, the blossoms of knowledge and certitude, and the myrtles of wisdom
and utterance, to exist and be made manifest."
So
the Manifestation is like the sun. The principle of the oneness of God (divine
unity) is like a tree. This tree, this principle, receives its life from that
sun, the Manifestation. From this tree comes fruits, leaves, blossoms and
myrtles. The fruit is oneness of the Manifestations (His oneness). The leaves
are the detachment, produced in the believers. The blossoms are knowledge and
certitude created in the followers. The myrtles (an ever green shrub) are
wisdom and utterance. So when the new Manifestation comes, the previous sun is
darkened meaning it no longer produces such fruits and leaves. Over time the
old tree, starved from its sunshine, turns into dead wood.
