Dear Sylvia,

Here are some of my inputs to the last set of questions.

- Abdu'l-Baha is telling the people of Persia, that there was a time that Europe learned everything from them, opened colleges, schools. What has happened to them now?

- The Persian way of pronouncing this name is, Draybar. He was John William Draper who wrote about progress of the Europe from the Islam and had lots of objections from all side. He was a French man.

- Draper felt that Islam thought Europe fundamentals of civilization and the bases of progress and well being.

- It is the intellectual development of Europe, and yes, I think that is the one that the Master is referring to.

- He describes it as a world of man and how the fetus has to grow to become a person, that is how the government should grow till it reaches a special form and reaches maturity.

- I need help on this one please.

- The organized education is not there and everything has become haphazard and confused. To improve this, he wants us look into education that benefit the society.

- That our behavior and thinking of the society will change and we undertake work purely for the sake of God.

- It is positive and with God's wish, and that alone can influence the civilization. If one is prepared to change and really believes in the change, that is true believing. I need a bit of help on this one too.

- Qualified individuals must try day and night using all the means which will bring progress to the nation, it also must go hand in hand with the Divine bestowal's.

- The primary and most urgent requirement is the promotion of education.

- It will not have property and success, unless this fundamental concern is carried forward.

- there should be beneficial articles and books be written and they must give happiness and advance the society.

- That everyone's opinion should be taken into account, whether educated or not, they have a right to seek happiness.

- We must go through all the seasons in order to feel the brightness of the sun and take part in endless bounty of God, only then we shall find true happiness.

- By establishing schools in the cities and towns and villages, we will be able to encourage everyone to learn and express their opinion.

- The main point here that I see is, the Master encouraging all the nations to work together and use and borrow ideas all of and work like one nation without any prejudice. If we don't go with the progress, we will be left behind.

- The result of superstition is that, it confuses the minds of helpless masses and has no relation to their well concealed objectives.

- If we have strong Faith in something, we will not believe in superstitions.

- Since religion and science come from having education and being open minded person, so there is no room for superstition. Harmony means to be intone with one another, harmony brings calm and peace and makes one relax and be less stressed, like listening to a beautifully harmonized  orchestra.

- The Master tells them to cleanse their heart from the stain of self love and make it pure, the heart is a divine trust. I also feel, this last part is not just for the Persians and Persia, it is to the whole world and all of us that live in this world of ours. That we should forget our own good and be like the chosen ones of God and do good to others, that is when a strong nation is built and our lives will be like a tree with fresh blossoms and fruits.

Love to all, Iran Sohaili.
