A Study of the “Secret of Divine Civilization”

Posting for unit 3 – by Martin Konstant

Sunday 14th. November, Jamál 11th. Qudrát – Power.

Dear Sylvia and fellow students.

Don’t know if it happens to you, but I get administrative constipation.

Too much admin, not enough in the field teaching. It’s a disease.

I have to change as a direct result of the following lists extracted from SDC;-

Three columns here, first being attributes of perfection, around paras 61 – 70, second from # 2 “Defending his Faith” around paras 98 – 103 or so, being attributes of true faith. Third from both “opposing his passions” and from #4, “obedience”. Para 124.

At the end of the first column; “Attributes of Perfection”, 'Abdu'l-Bahá says; “Whoever is lacking in the above is defective”. - - Wow!

The Master does say that finding people who have these attributes is very difficult but not impossible. Even in Persia at that time.

Well, I don’t think I need to find such people, you know the prophecy;- “The meek shall inherit the earth”? – other people will find these precious folk. For my part, I need to get closer to the goal my self and the way forward for me is to teach, teach, teach. Let me dust off my teaching bag, re-arrange my old teaching book and leave my computer grow colder.

With warm and loving greetings.

Martin.
