| The Bahá'í Faith is
the fulfilment of God's ancient promise to always love and protect His creation.
That promise or covenant has been kept in the past by messengers such
as Krishna, Buddha, Moses, Jesus and Muhammed. Now, as the world stands on
the threshold of a new age, God has sent us a new messenger to guide us.
His name is Bahá'u'lláh. |
|
Who is Bahá'u'lláh?
Bahá'u'lláh is the founder of the Bahá'í Faith.
Bahá'ís believe Bahá'u'lláh was chosen by God
to fulfil the promises of all religions and the hopes of all people. His
name means "The Glory of God". Bahá'u'lláh is the voice of
God on earth for our time. He has come to unite all people in friendship,
and to establish peace and justice on earth. He brings a message of love,
hope and forgiveness for each and every person. |

What does Bahá'u'lláh
teach?
Bahá'u'lláh teaches that there is only one Creator, no matter
what name He is given by people of different faiths and traditions.
He tells us that God has always loved and cared for all the people of the
world, not just one special group, and that over many thousands of years,
God has sent many divine messengers to guide us.
He teaches us that all the people of the world are one family, that we must
overcome fear and prejudice, and work to establish justice, love and harmony
between all peoples. Bahá'u'lláh is the Divine Shepherd come
to gather His flock. |
|
What do Bahá'ís believe?
One God.
There is only one God, no matter how He is worshipped or what name is used
to describe Him.
The Unity of Religions.
The founders of all the world's religions have shared the same purpose -
to awaken our souls, and to show us how God wants us to live. Our knowledge
of God has come from these "chosen ones" who have gradually revealed God's
Will to all the peoples of the world down through the ages.
The Unity of the human race.
All people are loved equally by God. We should learn to love and respect
all members of the human family and try to overcome all forms of prejudice.
Bahá'u'lláh has given us a vision of humanity as one people
and the earth as one home. This is the age of unity for all the peoples of
the world. |
