LADY BLOMFIELD: biography

Lady Blomfield's story

Sara Louisa Lady Blomfield (1859-1939): A prominent member of the Bahá'i community she was a humanitarian par excellence in addition to being an author and translator. She helped the founder of the Save the children Fund to secure the famous Declaration of Geneva for the salvation of the world's starving and refugee children. She was responsible for gaining corporate membership for the Baha'i National Assembly in the League of Nations. She compiled Paris Talks a book featuring Baha'i thought of spirituality. Paris Talks was translated into English by Lady Blomfield and it has since been published in several major languages. She has also written The Chosen Highway and The Passing of Abdul Baha
