Head of the Bahá'í Faith (1892-1921) and eldest son of Bahá'u'lláh. His title means 'servant of Bahá'.

He was appointed as the 'Centre' of Bahá'u'lláh's covenant with His followers and as authorised interpreter of His scriptures.

He lived a life of service to humanity, gave numerous talks (in Europe, Canada and North America) on the unity of humankind and oneness of religion, and was knighted by the British Government for his humanitarian actions during World War I.
