Events

We welcome you to join us for any of these regular events.

Devotional Meetings

We get together on the last Saturday of each month for an hour of prayer and meditations from the Bahá'í Scriptures as well as other religious traditions. Musical presentations also play a great role. All are welcome to participate.

Date: Last Saturday of each month
Time: 10 - 11 a.m.
Venue: Palo Alto Arts Center [1313 Newell Rd. Palo Alto]

Contact us for further details.

Children's Classes

The Bahá'í Community offers children's classes at the San Jose Regional Bahá'í Center every Sunday morning from September to mid-June. Classes are offered for all age groups from 10 to 11:45 a.m., beginning with a program of music and devotions.

In these classes children are taught about topics such as the beauty of diversity, the importance of tolerance and the elimination of all prejudices. They also get an opportunity to express their creative side through arts and crafts. Call 408-277-0510 for more information.

Firesides

Firesides are informal gatherings, often hosted by a Bahá'í at their home, which focus on a particular topic such as "The Quest for True Freedom" or "Raising a Family in Today's Society". The environment is very open to discussion, and information and guidance is drawn from the Bahá'í Writings. These gatherings are particularly helpful for those who are seriously investigating the Faith, or are just interested in discussing important topics. It is also a good opportunity to meet Bahá'ís in a casual setting.

In Mountain View, we have a Fireside every 2nd and 4th Friday evening of each month, hosted by Greg and Mahshid Tokarczyk. Contact us for further details.

Adult Study Classes

Regular study classes led by a trained facilitator are offered in Mountain View. Here are some of the topics covered:

  • Prayer
  • Life and Death
  • Understanding the Sacred Writings
  • Arising to Serve
