Bahá'ís believe in the unity of God, of religion, and of mankind. We believe that God progressively reveals His will to humanity in successive stages by Messengers of God - Moses, Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, Muhammad, Zoroaster - each sent by God according to the spiritual development and needs of civilization. In the mid-nineteenth century, around the time of the invention of the telegraph, when all the people of the world were beginning to communicate and interact with each other, Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith, brought a message of love and unity for all peoples.
