Matching – Read stories involving sacrifice. Decide which stories are most similar and why?

Contrasting -  Different sorts of sacrifice;

Grow something.  e.g. beans in a jar to illustrate sacrifice for young students

Role-playing –  act out giving away something that you really like, but someone else needs.

Play-making – take one of the stories about sacrifice and write a play based on it.

Recitation with music, lights, slides etc. – or one person could read an adapted story with appropriate music, maybe special lighting effects (e.g. candles) etc. If a slide projector available, and a suitable camera, slides could be made from old pictures in books and anything else suitable.

Make Dance or Mime – or one person could read an adapted story while others perform a mime of the actions, with symbolic dance movements if desired.
