The following is part of "The Activity Generator" , version 5 - 19th Jan.1991,

Each activity can be carried out by the teacher OR depending upon the age and maturity of the students you can ask then to undertake the preparation, e.g. in making materials to help a younger age group understand some topic - teaching is a very good way to learn!

We suggest that "Morality is neither good motives (CARING), nor right reason (JUDGING) nor resolute action (ACTING); it is all three." Hersh, Miller & Fielding (1980) For the purposes of the Activity Generator we see morality as spirituality in action and moral action as a product of knowing, loving and willing qualities.

The best way to determine needs is to listen to the students, read the Writings, know a bit about what educational theory says, and meditate a lot!

Create your vision of desired outcomes - see, sense and feel what having success with your particular class would be. They would be able to do .....

A good way to support yourself when conducting a lesson, if you are not very experienced as a teacher, is to produce a worksheet; this will give you more control over the lesson and some time to think while students work through it - the worksheet is their centre of attention, not you. This works well with all age groups old enough to read. It also makes having the children work in groups easier to manage. Many of the activities that you can generate from this module can be transferred to worksheets.
