C6-8 The Weather

'Abdu'l-Baha tells us that when spring appears the whole world finds new life.

"The soul-refreshing breeze is wafted from every direction; the soul-quickening bounty is everywhere, the cloud of mercy showers down its rain, the sun shines upon everything."

'Abdu'l-Baha talks about the breeze, the rain and the sun. These are the things that cause all life on earth to grow. Without them we would have nothing to eat.

Sometimes when it rains for a long time everything gets flooded, plants rot and we wish it was warm and sunny again. Sometimes when we have long spells of hot weather everything becomes dry and the plants wither and die. Then we wish for rain.

So we do need both the sun and the rain. Do you know how the wind or breeze help things to grow? Try to think of a few answers and write them down before reading on.
