Aim of lesson:             To look at why trust is important and how we can show trustworthiness.

 Objectives:
1.      Using the Virtues Guide discuss what trust means and what it looks like when we are trust worthy.
2.      Children to participate in selected co-operative games in order to experience trust

Games 

1.     Obstacle Blindfold - obstacles are set up around the room and a blindfolded person  is guided by one other child around, over , between the obstacles. The guide takes  great care not to harm their friend.

  2.     Car Wash - a volunteer becomes the car. The other children stand in a line and  decide on different functions of a car wash to perform on the car as it travels  slowly down the line, e.g. stroke to get dirt off, tap finger tips on their back to spray water, rub to brush off the water and pat to dry the wet car. Each child offered the chance to be the car.

  3.    Trust Circle - form a tight circle and one person stands in the middle and is gently  swayed around by the circle. The circle has a responsibility to hold the person  safely.

 Evaluation: Children enjoyed the games and were gentle with each other, They responded well to the story and were able to discuss the importance of being able to be trusted.
