Usage of BCI Certification Brands / Logos

To officially use the BCI Certification Logos one should abide by the following norms:

  1. One cannot just alter or modify the BCI certifications designation/logo.
  2. The color combination should be exactly as mentioned in the Logo Use Guidelines, viz. certification designations/brands should be clearly printed in black/colored ink on light colored backgrounds or may be reversed to white on dark colored backgrounds.
  3. A group of individuals can use the certification designation/brand, but each in individual must hold an active and valid BCI credential.
  4. The Designation & Certification Brand notice does not have to appear on letterheads or business cards.
  5. The certification designation/brand must not be used as part of a company name or logo.
  6. Placement of the certification designation/brand is crucial, it should be in close proximity to the credentialed name. However, it should not be confused with the company logo to pass on the impression that certification designation/brand certifies the company.
Usage of BCI Certification Brands

Use of the BCI Designations

  1. The BCI certification/credential designation can be used in magazines, newspaper articles, interviews, or in textual or verbal contexts where use of the certification designation/brand is impossible or impractical. It is the duty of the credentialed professional to carefully advise the reporters, authors, editors, publishers, and others on the guidelines for proper usage.
  2. BCI Credential Professional is at the stake of losing the exclusivity if the BCI Certification/credential designation is used in generic sense and not as an adjective.
